The 2018 event featured a chic safari theme transporting guests back to the grand colonial adventures through Africa over the last century. With beautiful cars, traditional decor and exotic animals (including Tiny the giraffe) set amongst the beautiful grounds, this immersive experience truly amazed. Another highlight was the "Evolution of Supercars" displaying a hand-picked selection of important automobiles that spanned over 100 years including a 1913 Mercer 35-J Raceabout, 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C Corto Touring Spider, 1956 Jaguar XKSS, 1994 Bugatti EB110 SuperSport and 2017 Pagani Huayra BC.

 

As guests entered the clubhouse, they were greeted with champagne in the Conservatory while strolling through the reception hall featuring vintage “Out of Africa” inspired clothing and accessories. For those who dared to have their fortunes read by a tarot reader and psychic medium, they could venture to the private wine cellar. A delicious and expansive seated brunch, provided by Sherwood Country Club, was served in the main ballroom overlooking the world-famous Jack Nicklaus golf course surrounded by a collection of rare Porsche's. To satisfy the cravings of a sweet tooth, a variety of delectable desserts were served on the automobile adorned terrace overlooking the Santa Monica Mountains. Additional entertainment included the melodies of Grammy-award winning artists Russell Ferrante and Bob Mintzer (Yellowjackets) and a Birds of Prey flying demonstration on the Croquet Lawn.

 

The 2018 event was presented by O'Gara Westlake, Galpin Aston Martin, Engel & Volkers and Four Seasons Hotel Westlake. Charitable donations raised by 2018 Rév Auto helped to support St. Judes the Apostle School.
